Advanced Text Effects in Photoshop 6

In this tutorial we'll be looking at advanced text effects in Photoshop... We'll be using a .psd file to illustrate this tutorial... Click Here to Download .psd file (zip format). Don't worry if you don't have the exact font we've used (Futura Md), just select any font you like :o)

Open up the advancedtext.psd file in Photoshop... Click Here to view Screen Shot with Instructions. You'll see a bold text with Bevel and Emboss and Drop Shadow effects applied, shown in the example.

Now, duplicate the text layer (we'll be going back to our original text layer so we can show several examples of the advanced text effects in the same file... Click Here to view Screen Shot with Instructions.

Then, make our original text layer invisible (so you can see the changes easily)... Click Here to view Screen Shot with Instructions.

After clicking the warp text button you'll see the menu in this example... Click Here to view Screen Shot with Instructions. Enter these values and see the effect!!!

Before we move on to our next example, we need to duplicate the layer again and make the starting layer invisible... Click Here to view Screen Shot with Instructions.

In this example we'll try a more complicated warp by modifying the Vertical Distortion... Click Here to view Screen Shot with Instructions. You can experiment with the Vertical and Horizontal Distortions for each of the Warp effects... Giving thousands of different effects quickly and simply!
